Stroke clubs
Stroke Clubs are local groups for those affected by stroke, including stroke survivors and carers. They aim to provide
a regular meeting place for people to come together and share their experiences as well as opportunities to take part in a
programme of activities. (see stroke clubs)

Macclesfield and District
Young Stroke Society Venue: The Flowerpot, 1 Congleton Road, Macclesfield, Cheshire SK11 7UF Meeting
time: Every second Monday of the month, except August. Activities: This social group is particularly aimed at people
of working age, but all ages are welcome. Monthly activities are arranged and carers are very welcome. John Evans,
the organiser of this group died suddenly in April 2008. The Stroke Association would like to express their sympathies to
all of John's family and friends. John was a popular stroke club organiser at The Stroke Association, and will be sadly missed
by all those who knew him.
