Stroke clubs

Stroke Clubs are local groups for those affected by stroke, including stroke survivors and carers. They aim to provide a regular meeting place for people to come together and share their experiences as well as opportunities to take part in a programme of activities. (see stroke clubs)

Aberystwyth and District Stroke Club
Aberystwyth and District Stroke Club meet about once a month at a variety of locations for trips and lunches out, offering a chance to socialise. To find out more, email Aberystwyth and District Stroke Club or contact the Stroke Helpline on 0845 3033 100.

Brecon and District Stroke Club
Meet fortnightly on Tuesdays, from 2-4pm at Brecon Leisure Centre, for a variety of social activities. Contact the Stroke Helpline on 0845 3033 100 to find out more.

Colwyn Bay Stroke Club
Colwyn Bay Stroke Club meet once a month on Tuesdays from 2-4pm at the Fron Community Centre, Elian Road, Colwyn Bay. Membership is free and includes speakers, Extend exercise, entertainment and refreshments. If you have had a stroke then come along and join us in activities that help rehabilitation and increase your confidence. Carers are also welcome. CRISP Club (Cardiff)
The CRISP Club provides a musical evening once a month at Whitchurch Community Centre, Old Church Road, Whitchurch. There is also CRISP 2, who meet at Whitchurch Community Centre on a Thursday afternoon once a month for an art class. For more information, contact the Stroke Helpline on 0845 3033 100.

Denbigh and District Stroke Club
Meet at the Eirianfa Centre in Denbigh, on a Thursday evening once a month for social activities, entertainment and outings. For more information, contact the Stroke Helpline on 0845 3033 100.

Fishguard and District Stroke Club
Meet every Tuesday at 1:30pm at St Teresa's Hall, Fishguard. Activities include games, quizzes, concerts, outings and even an annual holiday. Contact the Stroke Helpline on 0845 3033 100 to find out more, or email Fishguard and District Stroke Club

Llandudno StrokeClub

Newport (Pembrokeshire) Stroke Club
We meet weekly on Friday mornings, from 10:30am-12:30pm. We are a small, friendly group that enjoys speakers, slideshows and conversation for all. We meet for a general coffee morning and also occasionally go out to restaurants. Email Newport (Pembrokeshire) Stroke Club or contact the Stroke Helpline on 0845 3033 100 to find out more.

Newtown and District Stroke Club
We meet each Monday morning from 11am-2:30pm at Mill Close Community Centre, Canal Road, Newtown, for a general get together, meals, bingo and dominoes, as well as sharing experiences and solutions to problems faced by people affected by stroke. Penarth and District Stroke Support Group
The aim of our stroke support group is to improve the quality of life of those who have had a stroke. Meetings are of a social and therapeutic nature and are held on the first and third Thursday of each month at the Trinity Centre. There is a wide range of activities, for example, speakers, musical evenings, indoor gardening and outings.

Pembrokeshire Stroke Club
Meets every second Monday of the month from 1:45-3:30pm.

Port Talbot Stroke Club
Port Talbot Stroke Club meet on alternate Tuesdays at 2pm at the Margam Community Centre for social activities, speakers and bingo. To find out more, contact the Stroke Helpline on 0845 3033 100.

Rhyl Stroke Club
Meet on the first and third Wednesday of each month, from 7-9pm at Hafan Deg, Grange Road, Rhyl.
The group enjoys a programme of entertainment, including music and speakers. Email Rhyl Stroke Club for more information.

South Pembrokeshire Stroke Club
Meet on the third Thursday of each month at The Cricketers, Imble Lane, Pembroke Dock, for social activities and a cup of tea. To find out more contact the Stroke Helpline on 0845 3033 100.

Swansea Stroke Swimming Club
Meets to exercise every Thursday from 11:45am-12:45pm at the Ysgol Crug Glas Hydrotherapy Pool.
You do not have to be a swimmer as it's the exercise that is important to help damaged limbs and muscles. Please contact the Stroke Helpline on 0845 3033 100 to find out more about us.

Welshpool Area Stroke Club
Meet every Wednesday at 2pm at Church House, St Mary's Church, Welshpool, for various social activities. Please contact the Stroke Helpline on 0845 3033 100 to find out more about us.
