Here you will find an ever growing list of artists and crafters, associations, directories, societies, guilds art and craft  supplies that can help you start up and develop your particular passsion.
 
Also open to indevidual artists and crafters who are invited to submit details of their business allowing them a shop window to advertise their products and wares.

Welshpool Area Stroke Club
Meet every Wednesday at 2pm at Church House, St Mary's Church, Welshpool, for various social activities. Please contact the Stroke Helpline on 0845 3033 100 to find out more about us.
 

Wellingborough Stroke Club
Meets on the third Tuesday of the month from 7:30-9:30pm in the Residential Lounge, Box Gardens, off George Street, Wellingborough.
Club meetings include guest speakers, plus refreshments, biscuits and a chat.

Worksop and District Stroke Club
Meets on the first and third Thursday of each month from 7-9pm at The Crossing, Main Street, Worksop.
Come along and join our friendly group for talks, games, quizzes, shows, outings and information

Wesley Stroke Group (Barnet, Potters Bar, Radlett, Borehamwood and Finchley)
Meets on Thursday mornings between 10am-12pm at the Wesley Methodist Church, High Barnet, Hertfordshire.
The club organise quizzes, a range of games, outings, speakers and exercises, and has lots of fun.

Wellington Stroke Club
Meets on Mondays from 10am-2:30pm at the Courtfield Community Centre.
We have a cooking and carpentry section plus our own specially adapted Minibus. 

West Somerset Stroke Club - Minehead
Meets on Wednesdays from 9am-2pm in St John's Hall, North Road.
The club recently bought a clavinova so that members could continue to enjoy their music. Our craftwork is also popular, painting or making our own birthday cards. We go on a number of outings during the year too. 

Western Active Stroke Club - Weston-Super-Mare
Meets on Tuesdays from 10am-12pm at St Savior's Church Hall, Locking Road.
We have an activities co-ordinator and enjoy listening to visiting speakers. A number of outings are also organised.

Wincanton Stroke Club
Meets every Wesdnesday from 10:30am-3:30pm at the Wincanton Red Cross Centre.
Meetings include a two course meal prepared by helpers. The group enjoy quizzes, games and regular exercise sessions.

 

Warminster White Horse Stroke Club
Meets on Tuesdays from 1:30-3:30pm in Warminster Library. This sociable group has a speaker on a different topic each week, and enjoys some trips out in the summer.

Wroughton Social Stroke Club
Meets at the Ellendune Centre and shares outings with The Stroke Association's Communication Group.

Warrington Stroke Club
Venue: Alford Hall, Manchester Road, Warrington, Cheshire WA1 3NJ
Meeting time: third Weds (monthly) 7:30pm
Activities: Social activities, information, subsidised trips & holidays

Winsford Neighbourhood Stroke Club
Venue: Petty Pool, Sandiway, Northwich, Winsford CW7 2BP
Meeting time: first and third Tuesdays (monthly)
Activities: Games, raffles, various outings.

Wirral Lets Go (Young Strokes)
Venue: Various venues
Meeting time: Last Monday 8-9pm.
Activities: Quizzes, bowling, raffles.

Withington Hospital Stroke Club
Minehead Resource Centre, Dermott Murphy Close, Withington, Manchester, M20 8ZR
Meeting time: The last Wednesday of the month, 7:30-9pm
Activities: Entertainment, tea and a chat, informative talks and outings. Community transport available.

Wallasey Stroke Club
Venue: Serpentine Road Family Church, Liscard Road, Wirral CH46 2QR
Meeting time: third Saturday afternoon (monthly)
Activities: Games, outings, talks.

Worcester Stroke Club
Meets fortnightly on Tuesdays from 11:30am-2:30pm at Bilford Court.
Activities include social meetings and pub lunches.

Western Hall Stroke Club - Pontefract
The club meets at Western Hall Community Centre every Monday from 1-3:30pm. With many activities, including arts and crafts, both stroke survivors and their carers are welcome to attend. 

West Leeds Stroke Club
This well-established group meets at Hawthorn Mill Sheltered Housing Complex and offers a range of activities including gentle exercise, outings and speakers. Everyone is welcome at club meetings, which are held on the third Wednesday of the month between 10am-2pm.

Whitley Bay Stroke Club
Meets fortnightly on Tuesday afternoon from 2-4pm, at The Piper, Marden Estate, Cullercoats.

 

WRVS Newcastle Speech After Stroke Club

  • Wednesday - 10:30am-2:30pm, at the Community Centre, Brunton Park, Newcastle-upon-Tyne
  • Tuesday and Friday - 10:30am-2:30pm, St. Clements Court, Redhouse Farm Estate, Newcastle-upon-Tyne.

New members must be referred by a Speech and Language Therapist.

WRVS Sunderland Stroke Group
Meets every Thursday from 12:45-4pm, at Burn Park Church Hall, Burn Park Road, Sunderland.

DISABILITY SPORTS IN WALES

Disability sports wales

The Disability Sport Wales National Community Development Programme is a joint initiative between the Sports Council for Wales, the Federation of Disability Sport Wales and the 22 local authorities across Wales. The scheme is aimed at developing quality community based sporting and recreational opportunities for disabled people throughout Wales.

Walking / Rambling - Cardiff Ramblers

For people with a visual impairment

This club caters for children and adults and has over 20 members.

The Welsh Pirates train across South East Wales at various locations including Cardiff occasionally.

This club caters for adults and children with a physical disability.

Training Day & Time: Various Training Venue: Robinswood Crescent, Penarth Suitable For: People with various disabilities.

WISP Dance Club is for young people with a disability in the North East Wales area.

For young people & adults with a physical disability

Special Olympics Athletics club for children and adults with a learning disability.

Swimming club for people with disabilities
